Will 15s fit on a 2nd Gen Sport? I'm not sure they'll clear the calipers.

Also, if anyone has a 16" alloy with the grey "holes" they want to part with that would be good too. Managed to break a wheel the other night. Good times...

My factory spare steel wheel is 15", I assume it works, it appears to have been used once or twice in the 60k miles before we got it in 2000.

Yes 15 inch wheels will work on all explorers until 2001

It probably wouldn't cost much more to pick up a matching wheel at a junkyard than it would to have someone ship a wheel. A place local to me wants $25 + $15 core charge for aluminum alloy. Will they take a damaged wheel as core? I have no idea.

Yes 15" will fit, assuming you mean the factory wheels or with similar offset.

Yes I have 15's on my sport and they fit with no issues. I have 4" offsets too, so you should have no issues.

Why would you want to use 14"? 15" I could see, for cheaper tires or larger sizes but 14"? Any (commonly available sizing) 14" would be undersized for the vehicle and smaller than the stock spare tire.
