I'm trying to stuff 33" tires under my '91 and I was wondering if anyone knew how much lift would be needed if I used some wheel spacers? I don't want to go more than 1", 1.5" at the most for the spacers. Any input is appreciated.

Why are you wanting to use wheel spacers? This is that last thing you want to do as you are garanteed to rub with larger tires.

thats what i was asking, if they would help keep it lower without any rubbing

i have herd of horror stories of spacers breaking of at the hub on the trail causing the tire to fall off with the spacers and I could fit 33's with my bl with triming

Spacers will only put MORE stress on your front end! I'd recommend against it
