2001 Explorer Eddie Bauer
Hi,
I am definitely new to this site, which i think it's pretty cool to have an Explorer Forum. I have owned 2 so far and planning to own more in the future.

A question though:
I have a 2001 Explorer Eddie Bauer with wide tires (255/70/16). I've been searching for new tire/rim package and found one for a cheap price. However, they are Land Rover Range Rover 1995 4.0 SE tire/rim. The size is 255/65/16.

Beside the difference of 70 and 65, what else do i need to know about before I buy I go on believing this will fit my Explorer? Bolt Pattern? All the info on a tire is a tad overwhelming, so any advice will greatly be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Your ex has a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern and your rim is 16" x 7" with 4.5" of back spacing. If the bolt pattern does not match the rim will not fit. If the back spacing is lower then the rim will stick out more if the back spacing is higher it will stick out less and probably rub.

Thanks Lt. Jim. I will do my best to try to find the bolt pattern for the Range Rover. You are da man!

btw...any idea how to search for the back spacing of the wheels? It's a 95 Range Rover 4.0.
