I am trying to make my 93' Explorer a little more "manly" without lifting it. Right now I have the stock 15" rims with 255 Tires. Can anyone tell me what is the biggest, not widest, rims and tires that I can put on without loosing my 4x4 capability?

Thanks in advance.

I have 275 on my 92 sport and it stands about a inch taller and fills the wheel well better

Thanks for the replies...with the 31x10.5 is there any fender interference when offroading? And what did they do to your gas mileage?

mine wa sone of those lucky ones.... i had 31's on mine before i lifted any.... but their are some that rub... and if the do rub they wont be anything that minor trimming cant handel... as for gas mileage.... you probley wont even notice. if you have 3.73's

i have 3.73 with the lsd and the a4ld automatic.... i never noticed any bad mileage difference and my hiway miles improved...... also, i did have to trim off that plastic wheelwell liner.... but other than that they rule!!!!!
