Where are all the Virginia Explorers??

Josh said:
Well got my locker installed. I hope I did it right. It would be nice if we had some property we could play on. My winch will be here tomorrow I think and I am having a cable made to replace the old one. I need to pick up a front receiver so I can mount the winch. I also need the mounting plate for the winch. Anybody know where I can get those for a good price? Portsmouth trailer wants 145 for the receiver! I've seen them online for 109.

Sweet, I just got my Explorer back from getting aligned & tires mounted. I didn't know they still made front recievers for ours. Where have you found them online? I've been looking for one.

Here is a link to a sight that has both the receiver and the monut.

Front winch mount

you should call around and see if eta or pungo has them but it will probably be just as cheap to order them off that site

To me ETA is a rip off mail order showroom. They do the same thing you would do on the internet. I would love to have someone say yea we have that in stock, but not here. As for Pungo, They gave me a good price on my lift but, when I ordered it(4 in Superlift), I got 4 in the rear and 5.5 in the front. Portsmouth trailer wanted 145 just for the receiver and they had to order it of course. The second link I posted wanted 109 and they were offering 99 cent shipping on 150 or more purchases. So I could order the receiver and the mount for about 180 Ithink.

So who is doing the 10th Ann run in Crozet and where are you coming from? Just thought that we could meet up and head out together. I was thinking about camping out there some where and I want to wheel both days Maybe head up Friday afternoon or something. Some people have talked about a camp ground not to far away. The link is below. I guess there is camping onsite as well.

Misty Mountain campground

My fiancee and I are going and camping... don't know where yet. Hopefully we'll be able to get out Friday night and stay until Sunday.
We were planning to camp at the on-site Farm Field since we ASS-U-MEd that everyone else that was camping would be there.

...and that's all I have to say about that!

I'm camping at Misty Mountain. I've spoken with people who have wheeled at Crozet for the VROC (Va Rockcrawling & offroad championship) and they all praised Misty Mountain. The on-site at Crozet is very primitive vs Misty Mountain which isn't very far about 6-7 miles. I'm gonna be there Friday since I'm gonna meet Chris the day prior to make sure everything is ready not to mention to drink :D

Misty mountain sounds cool. I may just sleep in my truck like I did last time we went wheelin unless the wife comes.

Ok, so I am alittle new to the sight. Kinda surprised about all the people around me with X's. I need to meet up with you guys and learn a few things, get alittle muddy, and do alittle trail riding. www.putfile.com/explrths

Where was that mud hole video at? looks like the one over on Millitary HWY by a Boston Market I think? Oh yea and welcome. I think I have seen your truck before. There are a ton of lifted/modded X's around here.

That hole was out in Hapton nnext to Super K. It has been fenced up since that vid.I think Damn Neck is still open. I have to check with my bro-in-law. Anywhere local to get a little dirty

I bought my Explorer today!! :D I'm in Richmond

Any good mud holes up in Rich?

Dont forget about the 10th Ann run in Crozet next month. you guys should go.
