Although your Explorer is 15 years old, not a single person has lifted one. Nor have they documented lifting one in this site.

Check the stickies at the top of this very forum. Don't be afraid to search either.

what the hell you talking about i have seen lots of people on this forum that have lifted 1995 explorers?

i am so confused why is a 1995 so bad? compared to a 94 or a 96?

I believe that the issue at hand is not the Explorer but is its owner and his inability to understand sarcasm when he sees it.
There is TONS of information on here about lifting your truck. It has been covered every way imaginable. To unlock this wealth of information, all one has to do is discover the "search" option.

Patience grasshopper, knowledge must be gathered by oneself to be meaningful

okay i see i didnt know he was being sarastic i thought he was serious because another person told me that 1995 are much different to lift but i dont know why they should be pretty much the same as a 1994 or 1996 shouldnt they? thats the one thing i hate about computers they dont pick up sarcaism well

94 will be totally different. Stay away from anything about 91-94. Anything for a 95-01 will work on your Explorer. You have a couple suspension lifts to choose from. A body lift is also popular for 2" or 3". You can spend as much as you want to on a high dollar long travel lift kit, or you can do the budget 2" torsion bar adjustment for $ Free. It all depends on how big you want to go and how big your wallet is.

Actually the 95 is different than the 96. Superlift is the only company I know of that is currently making suspension lifts for 2nd gen 96+ up. They claim the torsion bar brackets which are welded up on 95 cannot be put back on for proper alignment. There have been people on here that have done it though. It is a little beyond my skill, I am still looking for a shop to make the modifications.

I reread you question. The answer is No on Cheap though. There are NO cheap 4"-6" suspension lifts. Cheapest I have seen Superlift was around $2k. Much cheaper used. I do not think Skyjacker makes a lift for the 2nd gen anymore.

To avoid the hassles of the torsion bars, if you have the money for the superlift kit you could do a coil over swap while your at it to avoid having the torsion bars remounted.
