Hello, my name is Joe i have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT and was wondering where i can get a 3" body lift. also if i get a 3" body lift will i be able to run 32 x 11.5's without rubbing ? and will i need to buy the bumper brackets and steering extension separately? if so where can i get them from..

1997 Ford Explorer XLT 2wd 4.0l SOHC

Thank you for your help,
Joe

the store..... ;)

check summit. everything but bumper brackets come with the kit; however you cannot buy the correct brackets, you must make them.

EDIT: the part number you want is PA853 (its for a ranger, not an explorer. but thats all that we have to work with as there is no 2nd gen body lift.) Also, scroll down to posts 17 and 18 in this http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121103&highlight=95+2+inch+body+lift and those are the bumper brackets you need to fab up.

Thank you very much for the info... would u happen to kno how much the perforance accessorie kit #853 costs? Those bumper brackets dont look that hard to fab up.. Performance accessory should consider putting prices on there web site...

Anyways peace out, Joe

100-150$ depending on where you get it. Go to www.summitracing.com and run a search for PA853. Buy from them, they have GREAT service and have very competitive pricing. Most people here will recommend Summit (hell, ive bought several things from them)
