Where can I order a KKM tru-rev kit??

Hey nice to see another canadian on this board,
I have no idea where to get a KKM but if you find one let me know maybe we can get a few more people interested and set up a group purchase or at least convince a local shop to order in a couple of them,
BTW the calgary area explorers are always looking for more people that like (or down right love) there explorers check out ilikedellcomputers post under befor and after or try a search on calgary explorers to see a nice group picture, if you are ever comeing to town just send a e-mail and we can all hook up

As Aldive stated...KKM can only be ordered from the manufacturer here in the USA. It is worth any troubles/expenses that you may hit with. Check out the product review page on this site and it will link you to the manufacturer and also give exact installation tips on the 91-94 explorers (specifically the 93)

You can buy a K&N cone filter and mod it to fit on there for under $100.00 cdn, i think i will go this route rather than spend over $200.00 bucks after duty + shipping, its not that i dont want to support a fine company that went to all the trouble to manufacture a very good product for a vehicle that most people just write off as a station wagon but thats $100.00 BUCKS MORE THAN I CAN BUILD IT FOR, plus the wait to get it here, I am very sorry if i offended any one with this post but what can i say i am cheap and i need to save all the money i can.........sorry

hotweels, please do not contact KKM regarding a group purchase. KKM does not participate in group purchases, and they get contacted endlessly from people on this board to set one up.

Checker autoparts now sells a conical filter that might work. It is in the ricer section of their store. They have a aluminum tube and conical filter in differn't colors that you can get. You can also get a Type R sticker there too.

Yeah I know, I picked up all they had in stock and covered my Explorer with them. I'm currently waiting for my "Powered by Honda SUPERCHARGER" windshield banner.

i would not call kkm for a group purchase cause then i would have to smuggel em across the boarder HE HE
what i would do is talk to a local shop that has a good customs broker then get them to order them and they would all be pre sold so the shop would make a profit and i would still save money, is that a littel clearer?

If you want to get the cone just go to partsource or another place like that and ask for a K&N cone filter look around till you find one that has close to the same diameter as the MAFS and then implovise a way to mount it on there its not all that hard,
BTW i dont know whats so good about the KKM but it does make mounting easy....The best vehicles are built not bought

Too put it into simple terms the KKm allows your vehicle to breathe the way it was meant to breathe. Just think of a person with asthma and has difficulty breathing at times. Then with an inhaler they are good to go. Think of the KKM as the inhaler for your vehicle.

The KKM is no better than the J&N, its only less expensive; and in many's eye, thyat makes it more desirav\ble,
