stock alloy wheel for a 1997 Mountaineer? Coupla years ago I needed one, and local supplier had no trouble supplying one with the correct purple-gray holes. Now they keep coming with the charcoal Explorer color in the holes. The supplier owes me the wheel, so new or reconditioned is no problem, I'm not looking for a low-cost used option. Getting it shipped in is not a big deal, either.

Contact one of our vendors on this site. There are a couple now that could probably supply you with what you need

I tried that and the search feature, couldn't find any source.

The only one that listed the Mountaineer wheel was Rock Auto, and they get their wheels from Keystone, and it's Keystone that keeps sending me the wrong color.

Send PM's to kbabiak, and ped5stang, they both part out lots of explorers

David, have you been searching using the factory number or the Hollander number? The four digit Hollander number is better for finding used OEM wheels. I would figure out what that number is first, then use that to search for the wheel. Good luck,

Try wheelcollision.com or one of the other wheel remanufacturers. They often have both new and reconditioned stock. Or local wrecking yards. There must be many available. Or search for used wheels on the internet, many recyclers have national internet search capabilities.
