Where does this hose connect?

Are you sure it isn't the brake line???? It looks like its connected to the hard line that goes across the axle.

Step on the brake pedal. That will tell you if its the brake line.
 






you can see it attached to the axle housing next to the differential, that should just push into a clip above there on the frame

Haha. I was thinking it was "Greased Lighting" for my spare wheel.

I thought that it might just clip to the frame but I wanted to double check.

Indeed, it's the vent hose. The brake hose connects to the top center of the diff.
 






Just route it up high and fasten it there. There should be a plastic vent in the end of it.
