I want to upgrade my factory sub, and i never knew the sub in the back was powered by a separate amp. Just curious where the amp is located and what the specs on it are. If anybody gots info on this, i will appriciate it very much.

Passenger side. Under the window in the cargo area. The amp is attached to the sub box. To get to it pull the threshold plate for the hatch and passenger rear door. Pull the plastic pins out of the side panel (around the window). You'll see the sub box right under the window. To remove the box I think there are 4 or 5 bolts holding it in. To remove the sub you have to pull the box out and remove a bolt on the back side.

thanks a lot... you answered my question and the next ones i was about to ask.

Thanks for the knowledge. I just got myself a new kenwood hu with bluetooth capabilities and im looking forward to installing it in the morning. This info will be very useful when I add some new subs. Thanks again
