Hello

Bump

The 1st Gens don't use a relay but there's 2 circuit breakers and at least 1 fuse. one of the circuit breakers is in the pwr dist box under the hood (40 amp, #12 I think) and a 20 amp CB under the dash, fuse panel, drivers side.

And a bad multi function switch can mess with the high beams (and wipers).. usually the headlight switch only affects "lights".. as in "low beams".. not "only" high beams you like described.

I'm thinking a weak circuit breaker but it also would effect low and high beams, not just high

Actually, since the high beams use more current when they operate, it could be a weak circuit breaker. Probably the 20 amp one under the dash.

Ok. Cool. Under the dash. Havent check there. Is there like a little door to pop open or do i need some tools to see these fuses?

Nope, except maybe a flashlight. I have a cover on mine with the diagram, it's held on with plastic clips. The circuit breaker most likely rectangular with an aluminum can covering the internals, should have a 20 stamped on the metal can. I'd go look at mine but the wife is out with it right now. The fuse block is right about where your left knee is when your sitting in your truck, left side of steering column.
