All the ignition wires are located in a wrapped bundle under the dash about where your right knee would hit the steering column. After unwrapping some of the black covering from the bundle, you will find all the wires from the ignition switch. Go to www.bulldogsecurity.com or http://www.the12volt.com/installbay and find the wiring diagram for your year and it will tell you the color codes. I can't find my sheet at the moment. Good luck.

bulldog's diags dont show a neg wire...only +'s, is there a negative?

Won't all negatives go either to the body/frame or battery?

If you check your ignition wiring to any accessory, such as the radio, wiper motor, ignition coil, etc., you will see that there are wires that get activated when you turn your key to the acessory position. This will make an ignition (+) that is swtiched on only when the key is in the accessory position. As far as I know, ground (-) is always constant, except where it comes to computer controls (solenoids, sensors, etc.) that only get activated when the computer sends out a ground signal to them. A remote start only needs access to the ignition controlled accessory wire, and the starter solenoid. If you don't put the key into the column to keep the electrical system alive, it will shut down in about a minute, or two depending how long the time delay is preset on the module.
