where should I put my jack stands?

Is a book that comes with all autos, called the owners quide, is normally located in the glove box.
That being said, if one can read, one can figure out the complexitys of how to jack up your truck

OK, getting back on track here..... Let's take this to the next step:

That being said, if you use the factory jacking points (i.e. under the spring perch in the rear and the hooks on the control arm in the front) where do you put the jack stands? The instructions work fine for changing a flat, but if you lift one corner, how do you support it and lift another corner? Wouldn't you want to support it by the spot listed in the manual? But that's where the jack is! So here's the catch-22... for the shade-tree mechanics who want to do it right, how do you jack the vehicle and then support it with a stand in that same spot? {WITHOUT USING THE TORSION BARS!!!}

[yes, I'm playing dumb here.... just looking for other solutions]

We all know that the Ford techs are trained to use the floor hoist on the torsion bars, so that's a moot point.

:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :roll:

I prefer to get the whole truck suspended in the air by rolling down all the windows and running some rope running through them and using a block and tackle and the springs above my garage door...

Hell, why not just get a forklift and skewer the truck through the doors, that would be the easiest

:rolleyes:

Someone should turn this into a lawsuit...Or maybe get some people fired for doing things ways other than the one that Ford specifically tells you to...maybe I'm just dreaming
