where the heck is it?

where is the courtesy door light switch located at on the rh passenger door? the interior lights won't turn on when i open the door on the passenger side. the drivers side works perfectly fine. need help please!!

Man i wish i could help you, cause mine do the same thing, but only when the truck is on, sometimes. I've just kinda gotten use to it, but i would like to know. I think it is actually in the door. Sorry i couldn't help ya.

i think that it is in the latching mechanism and is wired to the handle (my lights turn on even if i dont open the door if i yank on the handle) you might be disecting the door.

It is part of the latch mechanism. If you remove your door panel and look up inside there you should see some wires coming off of it.
