Hi all-
I've got a 2001 Explorer XLS V-6, and cannot for the life of me find where my PCV valve is in order to change it. I know one exists for my vehicle becuase I purchased one to replace the original. I have close to 140k on the engine and just wanted to do some maintenance. I just can't seem to find the darn thing. The only modification I have done to the engine is install a K&N air intake tube and filter, but I dont think I had to remove the PCV valve to do so.
Someone, please send me a detailed description of where I can find mine, or better yet, the whole picture is worth a thousand words thing, show me a picture of where it is.
Thanks. This is a great forum, I have already found awesome projects I want to do to the old girl.
Best :)

OHV or SOHC engine? That will help you narrow it down. HINT, SOHC will have a big black cover on it that says 4.0L SOHC (or something like that). OHV doesn't.

Once you know which engine you have, I'm certain their are a ton of threads on PCV replacement in the archives. We have two search tools that will help you narrow it down.

Good luck and welcome to EF.
