I just purchased an 05 XLT that didn't have floor mats in it. I asked the dealer as part of the deal to include floor mats but because I didn't specify OEM floor mats I got the $14.99 pep boys special (the kind that move, A LOT, and dont fit the space). Now I need to find a set of grey factory floor mats. Does anyone know where I can get a set cheap and not pay full price at the dealer?

Well I found out why the mats are hard to find. I went to the parts counter at my Ford dealership and was told that the company that made the mats went out of business. The parts mgr told me that Ford has yet to choose a new supplier, IF they even choose a new one.

He did a nationwide inventory search and he couldn't find a single set at another dealer... This sucks.

Anyone have a set of good condition gray used ones?

I had this same situation in May this year when I bought my 2003 Explorer. The best thing you can do is go to Advanced Auto Parts. I bought a nice set of grey ones that matched my interior carpets perfectly! It cost me around $30-35 but well worth it. They don't move and have a nice thickness to them.

I hope he managed to snag those off eBay for $35... They are definitely hard to find at the JY and online...

Nope. I didnt want to go that high for used mats. I stopped by another dealer and they were able to find some at a warehouse. I will have them tomorrow.

Apparently the ones the dealer I bought the truck from wanted to sell me the accessory mats that say "Explorer" on them for $78. The second dealer found the factory installed mats for $68. Thats all I ever wanted in the first place anyway.
