Where to get inside door panels?

The passenger side door panel on my Ex. has been broken for a while now and I have been looking around for places that have them, but to no avail. Does anyone know where to get inside door panels, new or used?

I have been searching for 6 months to no avail. junkyards, internet, etc. If only the area surrounding the handle is broken, you can take the same piece from a front 4dr panel and replace it. They are the same. Will need to melt small plastic tabs down to separate the pieces, but can be done. Completed by dr side, working on pass. side now. There was also a thread I saw today from madmike about purchasing the piece new from a junkyard in nc. Do a search for bud harris on this site. Should display the thread for you with phone number. I suspect that they will be getting a good number of calls, now that madmike posted the info.

Thanks for the tip. It is just the door handle piece that is broken. I'll have to check out and see if I can find just a handle piece and do what you said. That will save me a ton of money. Thanks!

In that case, check on ebay. I saw new ones going for around $35.00 , i think.

I have the same problem with the arm rests and i was wondering if you managed to get the ones on ebay. Have you had any luck with the junk yards? The straight up told me they dont make them any more, but they recomended an upholstery place they said they should know what to do.
How long have you been looking?

I didn't get the ones on eBay, but I'm probably going to go the route of just getting the black door handle piece and putting it in. I have been looking for about two years now and the only things I have found are brand new door panels, like the ones above. I'm not about to pay $700 for a door panel, when I can just put a handle in for a whole lot less money. You might want to try your local automotive recycler. There are quite a few out there now and they should be able to help you find what you need. I tried my local recyclers many times, but the Explorer's that they get were already stripped out before I could get to them.

Thanks, i havent checked with them yet but i guess its wortha shot. what exactly do you mean when you refer to the black part? my handles are soo shot that the only left to them is what used to be the plastic lining.

PD RD, The pieces on EBAY appear to be only the handle and that's it. In my case, when I pulled the handle the entire handle came off with the surrounding area. On the door panels, their are actually three main pieces. There is the door panel, the door handle, and then the area surrounding the door handle. The area surrounding the door panel is melted onto the main daoor panel, but can be replaced by grinding or melting down the tabs, then installing an unbroken one. The surrounding area piece can be used from a 4dr, as the 2dr are much harder to find in the junkyard. I haven't called yet, but check the thread above for info concerning bud harris selling new surround area panels.

I need a new door handle for the outside on my front passenger door. At a salvage yard, they go for about $10-15, so I bet an interior handle would go for about the same.
