where to get speaker boxes online?

the RFL 15" sub only hanles 2000 watts rms.
Audiobahns AWT 15" sub handles 3000 watts rms but has a stronger lighter titanium cone and larger magnets. the AWT 18" sub handles 3000 watts rms. and the AWT 34" that i posted the picture of, handles 5000 watts rms. Audiobahn doesnt bother to rate the peak power, since it dont mean a thing.

i've heard the MTX RFL, and there are plenty of speakers that hit higher dbs than that. and the size of the enclosure that it requires is ridiculous. it's a pretty good sub, but definately not worth the money. there's plenty of other subs i would buy before that.

this AWT 12" sub will outperform the RFL 15. and it costs a lot less. it handles 2000 watts rms and has a higher sensitivity rating, so it will sound good even with less power. and it costs a lot less:

oops...

i accidentally typer that the AWT18 handles 3000 watts rms. it actually handles 4000 watts rms.

instead of the RFL, you could also go with a MMATS Juggernaut 15. they outperform the RFL too, and cost a lot less.

wow i thought the RFL was good, i guess audiobahn is nice, too bad i dont have the money for either!
Sorrry im gettin a little distracted, im listening to the radio excerpt about the dumb guy with the Iroc, HA HA HA

Also what kind of amps put out that much power? (3000watts rms plus)

What kind of enclosure would the 18" take? would have to be custom made huh?

there are plenty of high current amps and digital amps that put out a lot of power. or you could run an amp off each voice coil.

i haven't seen any prefab 18" enclosures, so i guess making it yourself is the best way to go.

how much do you plan on spending for your next system. there are a lot of good companys out there that most people dont know about. and you could get a really good system for much less than you would expect.

tac0meat, just bought a great system that doesnt take up a lot of space, but hits harder and deeper than most systems. i dont know how much it cost him, but i know it's a lot less than what most people spend on the typical "amp and sub" setup. and it outperforms bigger and more expensive systems.

that thing about the guy with IROC is funny (chain steering wheel, hubcaps, reflective tint), he thinks these accessories make his car faster.

the prices for mine were:
amp-$300
sub-$190
box-$50(plus 25 shipping)
misc-$30(4 gauge wire, fuse and holder, 12 guage speaker wire)

it defintaly outhits my 4 kenwoods, and outhits my freinds 2 rfz 15". my freind with the rfz is now lookin into tradin in for audiobahn equipment just after hearing mine for less than a minute.

right now im still waiting on my box, i havent gotten a chance to really turn it up cuz i dont want to over extend the sub in this old box i got. once i take some pics of it ill post em here, i got pics of my old box as and ill get pics of my new setup eventually, then yall can see the difference in size.

You saying your
one audiobahn 12"
out hits 4 kenwoods
and 2 15"?
Just making sure im understanding what your saying.

thats what im sayin, the box that im usin is part of the reason why its so loud and compare the specs: a rfz 15 has a sensitivity of about 89 db compare at the audiobahn 93, even at the same wattage the audiobahn is going to be more than twice as loud as the rfz, there are alot more factors as well but this kind of gives you an idea of why not all subs sound a like. i am very surprised at how well it has turned out and how loud this thing is, im very happy with it, and it blows my 4 kenwoods away, and my freinds 2 rfz 15"

not to be a dick, but i dont buy it. not sayin it isnt true , i just dont beleive it.

i had a similar setup. and yes, that one 12" sub outperforms most other multiple sub systems.
when i had it, nobody could believe it was only one 12" subwoofer. i like it better than my four 15's.

What model number amp and sub did you end up getting? and which box? If youre sayiing your setup hits harder than my 2 12" HX2's and my RF 800.2 with only ONE sub, I may just change my setup. Let me know. I find it hard to believe, but I know you guys know your stuff. Would the AW1505X (one of them) be even louder with the right amp?

yea i mean its preetttty hard to believe.

model nubers

amp- A275HCX
sub- AW1205X

i also recommend a capacitor like the ACAP2 or ACAP4

the AW1505X will hit lower frequncies, and the larger diameter cone will move more air. it also has a sensitivity rating of 95db. so it might hit harder.

i was thinking of going with the AW1505X for my next system. but the reaction i got from showing people the AW1205X was great. everyone was amazed that a single 12" subwoofer put out that much bass.

so i might just go with another 12"

maybe i'll go for the AWT12 (12" titanium sub, 2000 watts rms).

how much did this all cost again?

sideswipe, you should check out an audiobahn dealer first. everyone has a different opinion on what sounds good. i like the sound of the audiobahns better than most subs, so that's why i keep going back to them.
you have to listen for youself and decide if that's what you like. if it puts out more bass but doesnt sound the way you want it to, then it's not worth it.

the amp and sub cost him $490

the box was 50 and wires/fuses cost 30

wow well thasts pretty decent. But i doubt it outhits 4 12's.

thats ok, it's just something you have to hear for yourself to believe it.

yea , i mean it probably does i guess if u say it does.

like i said i am am very impressed with how well this thing performs. i think if it was in its reccomened enclosure it wouldnt be anywhere near as loud as it is now. i had one kenwood 12 in this same box and it hit harder than when i had 2 kenwoods in a "recommended size" sealed box. daninco, its quality not quantity that counts, im sure you have heard of Qpower right? i think they are making better stuff now, but still there bottom line subs are crap, my freind has 4 Qpower 15" in his room and i can outhit em with a bucket and a broomstick, they look cool but there is no quality to em at all. if you can get a chance to listem to some of audiobahns stuff you'll be very impressed.

ill admit when i got into this i didnt have as much faith in the audiobahn as leenjen had(he has used there equipment before thouhg, i was hopin for it to be at least the equivalent to 2 of my kenwoods, and when i hooked it up it blew me away! (not literly but i was and still am very happy with it)

once my friend with the 2 rfz 15" heard it he was telling me he is going to do somethin different just like i did when i chose audiobahn, and now he is considering audiobahn pro compression piston line of subwoofers:

like leenjen said its all a matter of your personal opinion, just listen around and get what sounds best to you

as far as comparrison to my freind with the hx2 15" i have not had a chance to compare side by side but i believe mine is about the same as or a litle bit louder than his (and cost 400 dollars less too)
