Where to store trailer ball mount assembly

Does anyone have ideas as to where to store ( on/in the truck ) the ball mount assembly of a reciever type hitch?

Anyone used the jack compartment?

I would put it in the jack compartment. I have a bunch of stuff crammed in mine...a light, jumper cables, bungee cords, gloves, wrench, ice scraper, etc. You can most likely fit more if yours doesn't have the washer resivour back there like mine does

I put mine under the back seat.

inside canvas tool bag that I have straped to floor, I wouldn't put it in the jack compartment unless you can secure it, might bend the outside panal...

mine fits snugly between the speaker box and the fenderwell

on the back of the backseat, i have installed two bike fork quick releases to haul the bikes. i put my q beam, jumper box, blanket, and hitch assembly against the seat and lash them to the seat with a bungee cord stretched between the two quick releases.
