Don't remember the exact spot, but it is screwed to the block roughly behind the point where the lower radiator hose attaches to the water pump. If you get under the vehicle and still don't see it, remove the oil filter and it will be in view.

on a v8 it is usually on the driversside below the powersteering pump on the block, just above the oilpan.

Take the driver side tire out. Take the plastick skirt out. Then, deep inside, towards the oil filter you will see the pressure sensor. Hope that is a bad sensor and not the oil pressure... like in my case.

WOW thanks so much guys! You have no idea how much I appreciate this!!! Im gonna go give it a whirl now!!

Well Im almost done! I removed the old OPS and am in the process of finishing tightening the new one in.. About half way screwed in.. Man what a PITA to get to.. You guys were right lol!

Well Im finished and the guage in the cluster is STILL going crazy.. Now I really dont know what to do :(

Mine did the same. I bet if you put the transmission in "N" at stoplight, stops flickering (slighty higher rpm).
I ended installing an analog pressure sensor from parts store. I wanted to have the switch in place too, so I added a T from plumbing department (1/4" normal plumbing thread).
Left some skin in there. Removing the bracket that holds that metalic pipe on the compressor, give some more space.

I run it like that an found out:

Cold start:

Warm engine idle 5W-20 oil. Flickering pressure gauge (dummy gauge in the dashbord) below 5PSI:

Now, for a few months, I have in it Shell Rotella 5W-40 with some Restore oil additive... don't know how long will last. No more flickering but I can still hear lifters noise at idle.

I'm having a similar issue, at warm idle the dummy gauge freaks out and is actually stuck pointing down now. Havent gotten a real gage to test yet.

Thanks man! I just dont know where I should go from here? I hate wasting money getting it diagnosed at a shop, because they always go with the most expensive way out it seems...

See above, I was editing the post...

Haha, you mean like this:

Yep, mine eventually "jumped" there too and I had to remove the cluster to fix it (rotate the nedle in the right place with my finger).

Exactly like that, hopefully its just another sender. If not the sender oil pump going out?

Everybody hopes that the sender is bad... Unfortunatelly sometimes the sender is good, pressure is bad.
In my Explorer I changed the oil pump too. 400$ latter (and this is with cheap labor rates) I was in the same place.
Maybe main bearings, maybe camshaft ones... who knows?

I just drained one quart of oil and added a bottle of Lucas... I noticed the guage only dropped when the the RPMS were low.. So I came to the conclusion it wasnt the guage, but the pressure. After adding the Lucas the oil pressure is perfect.. Hopefully this takes care of it... Im pumped though because I can drive the truck without the worry of it stalling out or what have you...
