Which brand amp do recommend?

I'm in the market for a new amp, to power to ten's. I'm comtemplating between these brands:

1) Kenwood
2) Alpine V12
3) Rockford Fosgate

Any suggestions?

I have a kenwood and an Rf and I love them. I've also heard nothing but good things about the Alpines and considered buying one recently. You cant go wrong with any of them.

Not RF...they used to make good amps unfortunately their quality has gone straight down the tubes.

If you just want to run the amp to the two tens, then I recommend neither of the 3 you pt and get the JL audio 500 to 1 amp. I have got that to two tens in my truck, with a jl 4 channel to the highs. Soon im going to be buying another one cause im putting 3 more tens in. It all depends on the subs to what model they are. If they cant handle 500 jl makes a 200 or 250 to one which sould be good.

the jl's are pretty good. if you want a deal on a rockford (brand new in the box with a warranty) you should give me an e-mail. I can get whatever size you want as well. this goes for anybody.

if you get kenwood, make sure it's an eXcelon. the other two are also good choices.

i don't know at what price range you are looking, but maybe you should look into Zapco.they might be a little bit higher but they are definatly good amps, i'm very very satisfied of the output they give me.they are really efficient, and that makes them well worth the few extra bucks.

I like my Rockford Fosgate 800a4. Lots of power and sounds great w/ my MB Quart Speakers.

Alpine all the way baby! I love my Alpines... It took 3 yrs of abuse and bein under water to weaken my last alpine amp... now im just gettin a big 4 channel amp of theirs to match my MRV 1507... i think the new one is like an MRV-F407... or some number like that it'll sound beautiful then!

Well, here's my $0.02

Personally... I've heard, actually heard, the differences in-store between JBL's and Phoenix Gold's and I have NEVER heard one thing bad about PHOENIX GOLD's. I have the Titanium edition ZX600ti amp that will be going into my X pretty darn soon and I will be powering 2-Cerwin Vega Vega 12's (400RMS/ea x 800MAX/ea). I've been told that Phoenix Gold's amplifiers are very underrated and quite OVER-PERFORMs on their specs. As for the Rockford Fosgates, yes, I feel that they have gotten a little "LESS" in the quality area, but their NEW HIGH-END amps kick some serious BASS!!!

I'm not dissing on the Alpine or R.F. or JBL amps, I'm just saying, as far as sound quality and RAW power go, Phoenix Gold was the way for me and my choice came not from specs necessarily, but from listening to the differences from the same wattage ratings to the same subs, and P.G. outperformed the competition.

I was just at Best Buy (I know, I know, but I wanted their opinion as well), and the guy there said that Rockford amps are highly underrated, and that I should seriously consider getting one. Granted, Best Buy doesn't carry Alpine or Kenwood, but still, this guy was a certified installer and obviously knew a little bit about audio. He even recommended the Rockford over the Sony Xplod, although I am unfamiliar with the Xplod's as far as performance goes. I'll keep you guys updated on which one I end up getting.

sony xplod sucks. their es series headunits are pretty good. but their amps, speakers, and subs totally suck.

I agree, anything that Sony sells under Xplod name sucks. Crappy sound quality & way overpriced. "Dude! those speakers look tight! They have to be better!"

Rockford has 2 lines of amps. The Punch and the Punch Power.

The power is there higher end amp. If you go with the R.F., you may want to consider spending the extra cash and getting the Power series. It has a few extras, like fully adjustable X-overs, and some models come with the remote bass controller. Also, the Power take more abuse than the regular Punch amps.
