I would like to stick with Rockford Fosgate
How many watts?

Because you have 2 8ohm subs I'd advise wiring in parellel to bring the load down to 4ohms. Then get an amp rated for about 400 watts, either a single channel or you could use a 2 channel amp and bridge it.

Take a look at the Fosgate 500.2 - it gives you 500 watts at 4 ohms bridged or the Fosgate 1000bd which is also 500 watts at 4 ohms.

The 1000bd will be more money but is designed for subs and will draw less current and run cooler.

When you get it all together let me know how it is, I'm looking at the 3410's

Here is what I bought

I just purchased this tonight on eBay

Rockford Fosgate 400s 2002 model

This amp is at BestBuy for $359, got it on eBay for $230 shipped.

I went to best buy earlier today and they had a setup with this amp and 2 rockford 10's in a sealed box. It sounded "really" good in that big open space so I figure it should be even better in my X. I had originally thought of getting the 300s but I saw this one for a good price on eBay. This 400s also has the remote bass punch which I wanted.

Its a 2 channel so I will bridge it for a total of 400 watts RMS at 4 ohms. So wiring in parellel is what I will be doing like you said to bring the load down to 4 ohms.

More Questons:
How do you bridge an amplifier? Do I have to buy anthing else to do it?

My Head Unit has Front and Rear RCA outputs. Do I hook the Front or Rear to the amp? or both?

Thanks again

The amp will come with directions on how to bridge it.
You can use either the front or the rear.
Does your amp kit have RCA cables in it

amp kit

The amp kit i purchases has everythign I need. its a 4 gage rockford fosgate kit. Its at Best Buy for $129 however I got the last one they had like this and they reduced it to $60 for me !..

I has alot of wires in it.
power to the battery
speaker wire
RCA wires
fuse

Thats just what I can see. I havent opened the package yet. Hope to get my amp delivered next week and install right away. Im thinking ill make a amp rack and mount to the under side of the passenger side rear seat so it can fold down.

Ill take pics and post a review of my setup when Im done.
