I need new bushings pretty bad for my 98 Explorer. I am running the warrior shackles and they squeak constantly. What bushings do you guys recommend? I believe I need bushings for where the shackle connects to the leaf, and where the shackle connects to the frame.

Thank you in advance,
J

Stock bushings last 100,000 miles easy, (being conservative here) so for replacements, I have used Motorcrafts.

Check out Tousley Ford, their a Vendor here and have great pricing.

I have a set of the bushings that push into the frame where the top of the shackle is if it is those you are looking for. They are for sale in my sale thread. I bought them new last month in case I tore mine up taking out my shackles, but I didn't need them.

You guys know of a good place where I can order online??

Thanks

Did you try spraying any kind of lube on the rubber? I would try that first. So you are saying you need the bushing in the spring, and the one in the frame?

I got the frame to shackle bushing at Tousley ford. Steve has a vendor account here. For 2, with forum discount, it was 15.82, plus shipping and tax. If you want mine(new unused) I will sell them for 18 shipped. Part number for the part I have is F57Z 5A546 AA. Vroomzoomboom found this part number when he replaced his. You have to drive the old one out, and press the new one in.

If these are what you need, and feel more comfortable buying from Tousley, or are buying more stuff from them, I will have no hard feelings, just throwing this out there.

Just have this part number because they cannot locate it on a diagram

Here is a pic of the bushing that pushes into the frame:

Good luck!

the frame ones are easy to with a ball joint press Vroomzoomboom did his in no time

i told him to use the press cause i did mine that way too,
