i've heard the 12in xplodes and there decent if u have enough power to them....what's the RMS on the amp?

deal # 1 is way better!!!!!

even with the no name amp?

Not really sure on the amp, i only know its a dsh or something and its 700 watts, now the subs r pushing 800 watts a piece, so bigger the amp more i will get out off the subs, but i dont want nothing too loud.... I heard the audiobahn and they sound nice, and i heard my other friends sony X's and there nice... but im new to subs so i need a little help

that questoin was towards jim i wanted to no why he thought 1 was better

So anybody else might help me out????? Which one should i looked towards????

Deal #1 is definately better...due to my friends own personal experiences with Sony, they are not all that great for car audio...subs and amps anyways, not sure about the new line of HU's. Their subs cannot take the power they are rated at, and that 1200 watt amp is prolly putting out 300 to 400 watts...if that.

Those Audiobahns, however, are really decent sounding subs. They are more SPL than SQ though, especially in that plexiglass box, but it will be a better deal in the long run.

Deal #1 = better quality and sound for your money...

depending on the amp, I'd probably do #1.

#2 seems a bit overpriced.

get #1

xplodes suck

I had 2 audiobahn 12" and loved them
Deal #1

Simple. Neither.

Sony doesn't make good car audio in any part.

Audiobahn subs are more bling than they are quality. Put the money into something good that can't die. Look for JBL (my favorite), eclipse, or infinity's. Same for amps, no speaker sounds good with a ****ass amp behind it. Get a no-name amp, you get no-name sound. Some amps do sound better than high-buck ones at low volumes, but when you put it down, they just puke and distort. JBL 1200.1 can be had on fleabay for damn near nothing and it was designed by the guys who make amps for concert speakers (Crown Amps).

But, what do i know, i'm just a lowly Radio Engineer. ;)

sony subs suck totally. I would not use sony subs even if someone gave them to me for free. The bass from them sucks, it sounds like someone beating on a cardboard box

Warning though, the Audiobahns in that ported plexi box will be more loudness than actual SQ or that firm "hit".

yea im gonna try tha box and see, im kinda new to the car audio deal and want to learn and know more.. but im prob gonna get a better amp later on and im not sure about the box.

I think goobe's got the best idea, why upgrade the amp later when you can just get a better system now for like $100 bucks more. Total amp and subs cost me 540$ that's only 140 more then that first deal, assuming you already have a HU
