well a couple days ago i posted a question about stock 4X4 ability of explorers ( http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76137 ) and now i have to decide which kind to buy. Im pretty set on the 91-94 year range. now which options ( 5sp. tranny, automatic.. engine size) or even model lines( XL, XLT) would be the best to start off and build up a solid explorer. future mods would definetly consist of at least a 4" suspension lift and or body lift, and atleast 33's.. Does it really matter which route i go. i remember someone saying a 5sp. would be nicer when offroading.. Any suggestions would be great!
