Which header????

I've got a 1997 V8, and i'm looking to put new headers on. As of now im looking at the Ford Racing headers, and the SVO headers from anyone care to chime in on which ones will be the best for the money? id love to hear from people who have both. i havent heard how much the FRPP headers are, but the SVO ones are around $180 shipped, which is NOT bad, thanks in advance.

arent the SVO's the same thing as the FRPP's? if so, it will be basically a bolt on swap. that is, if you got GT-40 heads, and not GT-40p's. if you have the p heads, you will have to weld on an EGR tube.

which heads are which??

i have been looking to do the same to my 96 eddie V8 with the headers. i don't want to be an idiot but how do you know which heads you have? gt-40's or -40p's?? is there a certian one that came stock and not? i really just don't know what i have and haven't been able to sort it so i could figure it out....thanks

You have the GT40 heads. All 96's came with those heads. They didnt start the Ps until 97. If you look at your block on the passenger side right in front of the very front spark plug there should be a stamp saying "gt" or "gt40".
