I will put Vortex classic muffler 120$ and i will rebuild the entire pipe at the same time but BTw guys what come the first from the exhaust manifold the cat first and then the resonator and the muffler OR the resonator, the cat and then the muffler?
I've got an Edelbrock RPM that we put on our '91 Ex EB 12 years ago. Great muffler.
I've used a Borla Cat-Back and a Dynomax Super Turbo Catback on a Jeep and those have worked well for me also. However, the Dynomax system did, due to corrosion, start to leak around the welds and it had to be replaced.
stock going to throw a flowmaster 50 series SUV on there as soon as i can afford it though. probally gonna go 2.5" pipe from the Y-pipe back. i got a high flow mini magnaflow cat right now.
ok anyway a guy told me the downpipe is 2.5" between both cats its 2.25" and after the second cat its 2"
My first cat is good no rust so im just gonna cut between nd i was thinking about Vortex classic muffler made by cherry bomb or the same muffler same design other name is the Supreme vortex by Maremont
thats what i did but i punched out the first cat and put a 2.5 inch pipe through it and have 2.5 all the way back with a flow tech muffler on it and it sounds great. real mean.
I had a ravin which sounded good but had drone. I finaly took it off and replaced it with a welded thrush turbo for 39 bucks. It has a low grumble at idle and no drone at all. My truck instantly started running better. I wanted a hushpower but they are too expensive.
I have the flowmaster force 2 kit with a 50 series muffler. Low sound at idle nice growl under hard accel. Think I may swap it for something louder though maybe 40 series. Kit is nice though easy to install.
