2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer
I just picked up my 2002 Eddie Bauer. Has 33,000 original miles....wasn't driven much. I think that the tires are original which means that they have to go.
I'm looking into Michelin Latitudes, or BF Goodrich Long T/A. Is there a better selection out there? I want fairly good traction for New England Winters but also want quite ride. I have BF Goodrich Long T/A's on my Jeep and they were great tires. Not sure how they would be on the Explorer.

There are a few threads about tires with many different opinions. Me the only tire I use is Michelin, on the ex it would be a cross terrain, LTX m/s or LTX m/s2. I get about 75-85 out of a set I change them when they hit the wear bars, I drive about 60 highway 35 reg roads 5 light/medium trails.

I love the Coopers I just put on mine, they look aggressive and maintain good highway handling dynamics. I specifically bought a more aggressive tire for Upper Michigan winters which are just as bad as new England winters. For the cost and quality of tire you are getting in the AT3, Michelin and BF can't touch that.

Just got Firestone Destination LE's on my 02 Eddie Bauer . Idiots at tires plus also put the wrong size on they are 255/70R16 should be 245/70R16.

I went with the Cooper Discoverer HTP's. Not an A/T tire but pretty aggressive all season tread and they look and drive great. I did go with the 255/70/16's, and I love the look. You can't go wrong with the Michelins though.

Just went out and bought 4 new Michelin X Radial LT2's at Costco for my 2002
Eddie Bauer.
Great tires.....feels like I'm riding on air. Very quiet and comfortable ride....Costco's great...no Hassle and no one trying to sell you insurance policies and suspension parts.
