which TPMS kit will work with my 04 explorer?

I am wondering if there are specific ones that would work with my explorer?

I am looking at a few different ones on Amazon and some of them says TPMS-6, 8, 12, 16. which one do I need lol?

I just need a set of 4 for my aftermarket 22s, I hate it dealing with error messages in the message central.

Is it normal for TPMS to be 50 bucks a piece?

yes it is normal and actually thats pretty cheap. i've bought them for vw's at my shop before abd they cost $250 a piece. just go through tire rack. you'll get the right one the first time and be done. hope this helps.

You should be able to re use the stock ones and just replace the bands. I did with my 20'' wheels. Or do you have the valve stem mounted type?

yeah but i want to leave my stock ones in my stockers and purchase another set for my aftermarket rims.

easier that way.

I haven't studied TPMS all that much, but I do plan on eventually getting new rims. What bands are you referring to?
