which year sport trac to buy?

Hey guys.
i have a '91 explorer right now and ive been thinking of buying a new explorer. i really like the sport tracs but since there relatively new there still pretty pricey. i was wondering if anyone owns a 2001 sport trac or knows anyone who does and if you have had any problems with them. my neighbo is a parts manager at the local ford dealership and he's told me that pretty much all 2001 sport tracs have engine problems. i assume thats true since it was the first year they came out. I have been looking around and found a nice lookin blue one and before i go get it i need to know if i should get a newer model.

I have a 2001 ST and have had no problems with it at all and it has 70K on it and i just had to change the brakes, Fuel Injection cleaned, Transmission fluids flushed and the mechnic said it was in top shape for having as many miles on it but every single vechicle varys.

I have a 2001 and have had no major issues so far. Do some searching over on mysporttrac theres lots of info there on Tracs.
Just a note, youll read all kinds of things about job1/job2 01 Tracs there, heres the deal and some of the minor differences.

Job1= built before June-27/2000(or there abouts), oil fill on drivers side, smaller plastic intake cover, computer behind rear seat panel
Job2= after that date, oil fill pass. side, computer behind glove box.

Some say stay away from job1 but thats what mine is and it seems fine.Like all there were good ones and bad ones.
