I have a 1998 Ford Explorer 4X4. Whenever I engage the 4X4 High, its a noticeable whining type ish sound that comes from the front of the car while I drive it. The 4X4 works fine. It stops when I come to a complete stop at idle, it does not make any sound when driving in 2WD. Is this noise normal? Is there anything that is about to break on the 4X4 system? Thanks
