have 2010 sport trac xls. experience whistling noise from driver side air vent area at speeds 40 + on days where it is windy outside (appears to be more when there is a crosswind to direction car is traveling). doesn't happen any other time. anyone know what might cause this? dealer resealed molding around windshield as they thought that was loose, but didn't solve noise problem.

I get a whistle from the door seal at the top of the right rear door. Dealer blames roof rack but it only whistles at that corner. Doors appear to need adjusting more to me, too much gap on the rear door and too tight between both doors.

Wind noise from driver window

I also had this problem with wind noise comming from my driver side door. The dealer could not fibure it out for the longest time. They kept re-adjusting my door to seal tighter, but this was not the problem.

I figured out what was the problem. I applied pressure to my window from the inside while it was making noise and the wind noise went away. I returned to the dealer and advised them that the problem was with the window seal/moulding. After they replaced the seal, the noise went away.

Now it is quiet. You may try also to open the window and apply pressure to the window seal around the door to make sure it is seated properly. It may have come loose as the window rolls up and down causing it to unseat itself.

Good luck. Post if this helped your situation.
