Whistling noise then tranny slips?

Well, I took the X in last week. Turns out the valve body gasket blew out and the transmission needed rebuilt. Thank god for the warranty. Went in Sat. and signed the invoice to send it to the warranty company. $1317 and all I had to pay was for the deductable and the tranny filter. Whew. Thankyou everyone for your help.

Thanks for keeping up posted. How much did they actually charge you total?

$140 is what I had to pay total. But you won't hear me complain. Better than paying $1300. Plus, the warranty has basically paid for itself in the first 4 months I've owned the vehicle.
