Who has a BBK TB?

I"m intrested in getting one but I'm not sure if it is worth $200. I need some reassurance. Who has one and how do you like it?? Was it worth the money? Can you tell a difference in hp? Thanks for the replies.

Mine was definately worth it. Increased throttle response, and about 5 more seat-of-the-pants hp. However, you need to have a filter mod and catback exhaust to take advantage of the TB. A computer chip helps too. Basically, if the airflow through the engine is restricted much before the TB, or after the cats, your engine will bog a bit because there will be a vacuum created in the intake.

On a mostly stock application it does. The biggest gain is in your throttle response. The engine will rev quicker and respond quicker to pedal changes.

Thanks for the info alec. Do you think a new TB will be worth it with my K&N drop in filter and a force II flowmaster catback exhaust (soon to be added i think) or is there still too much restriction (factory headers).

No, even with the factory exhaust manifolds you'll notice the TB. You'll also notice it more if you get a chip.

I also think it's worth it. Even if it didn't give me any more measureable power, it does feel quicker off the line. The engine revs more easily, without any delay. I think it was a good investment.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 pennies on this one.

I've got the BBK and a K&N drop in filter (that's it for now, got a race car I'm working on now), had the filter before the TB and when I put the TB on I was definately able to notice a difference. It's not one of those things where it's just in your head either b/c all of my friends have comented on the improvement. If I had to give a number it would be between 5-10hp (clser to 5). I'm dying to get an exhaust on it to see how much that will open it up.

So what does all this mean? BUY IT! It's worth the money.

I didn't notice any HP, or seat of the pants improvments at all. I did notice great throttle response though. However down here in south FL, where my AC never gets turned off, I loose any power I would get.

Hey Jason, I did look at all your stuff an noticed you had a Force II catback exhaust. I'm intrested in getting one. Do you like yours? Do you notice any difference in power? would you get it again? Thanks for the info
