those that have done a solid front axle conversion-

what are you doing with your front end suspensions you removed?

are the AWD and 4x4 fronts the same?

what kind of price would i be looking at for a complete front suspension set-up? (AWD)

thanks

The question these days is WHO HASNT done a solid axle up front.......

Look to spend anywhere from $1500 to $5000 to do this conversion. There are ALOT of determining factors, leafs or coils, what axle, etc.

I mean obviously if you can weld, and you have a spare D44 laying around then your half way there. If you buy a junk D44, rebuild it, shorten it 6", put a ARB locker in there, convert it to discs, etc...you can have $3500 just in the axle before it ever even thought about going under your truck.........

I think he is asking for the SLA stuff left over if I am reading that right.?.?

correct Rob.....

I am looking for the factory front suspension removed and wondering what kind of prices these are going for. I have a little brain storming going on in my head to make something AWD and i need the front set-up out of an X.

I may be doing a soild front in my 96 with a D44 in the future but not sure yet. That would be perfect cause then i could use my own left overs...... but if they are not to mucha nd people are just junking them maybe my other project could get started earlier...... still need to take lots of measurements for my idea....
