I was going to build a box for my explorer to go where the stock one was but then I saw that subthump.com has one for cheap ($129) for the drivers side of the car that pretty much meets my exact needs. I wont have to hack up my trim panel and I dont really enjoy woodworking anyhow.
I saw at least 2 people on here have the box. I only have a couple concerns. One is the terminals on the side of the box. I just worked my butt off hiding every other wire in the car and I dont really want the speaker wires for the sub just sticking out there... I wonder if they would build me one w/o the speaker terminal hole. I'd rather put a hole in the back and run my wire behind everything. I wonder if they would build me one w/o the speaker terminals.
My other question is how does it mount? Is there anything there to screw it too. It looks like they just put screws into the plastic trim?
fyi this is the box im talking about.
