Who makes this fiberglass?

Does anyone know who makes the glass on this Explorer? It doesn't look like Perry's rear kit and I've never seen this front fender either.

My goal is to build a comparable truck to that but mine actually will have better suspension cause his is limited due to the class he races in.

Rough Riders..

That's John Swifts truck-its custom made glass from circa 1991. It was made by TMAG in Vista CA. They built the entire Explorer for the old Rough Riders Off Road race team.
John owns Marathon Sod in Oxnard, CA. I'm sure he has the molds but they aren't bolt on -there full-on race mount with dzus tabs. you have to rework the entire Explorers front end with cage and then gut the rear body panels..

I have a full series of pics of that truck as well as an article from 1991 Four Wheel and Off Road magazine. It's nothing like an Explorer except the roof and that it has I-beams. The rest of the body is fiberglass.

Oh and Khris, that suspension ISN'T limited at all..That truck is a full on Trophy Truck (runs with all the big boys in BITD series, with a 4.5L Nascar V6 pumping over 500 HP to that Sandy Cone 9"rear end

So he's not racing in the Baja Explorer class that requires the stock buckets and stuff?

NOPE- Trick Truck-unlimited $$, unlimited mods

Body must resemble a mass produced truck available to the general public. Stock appearing grill must be used. Stock appearing headlight openings must be retained.

thats it everything else is OPEN...

The truck has been freshly prepped but its nothing near what the other guys run. Hes a V6 and the rest of the class is V8..

He didnt finish the Vegas to Reno which is rare -he always finishes most races he enters..

Have you seen the new DP video? I picked it up at the Expo over the weekend. WOW!!! The herman motorsports TT was at the show and looked insane. The video shows that it is insane. I couldn't imagine riding shotgun in one of those trucks. I'm sure it would take a while to realize that everything would be fine.

I think it's in the form of a diskman and headphones if you absoutely need tunes! Although I'm sure that motor would be enough to listen to.
