Whoo Hoo! Switched Cig Lighter mod

So I needed a switched 12vdc lighter adapter for a dash cam I recently acquired and I determined that both the dash and passenger 12v outlets were constant on. The pass outlet is used for phone and other gadgets but the dash cam required a switched connex. Since I am not a smoker I decided to mod the dash outlet. I did a search here and sure enough, found a write up on how to do it with a wiring schematic of the JBL head. Used t-tap connectors, went really easy and now dash cam powers up with ignition on and powers off with shut off. And, I was able to replace a blown bulb behind the Fan Selector switch while I was at it.
I just want to say that this group is REALLY the best resource for Explorer maintenance and mods anywhere on the interwebgoogletube. I have done the above, shocks all the way round, brakes w/ pads/rotors, fuel filter, UCA/ball joints, PVC and EGR valves, EGR pressure sensor, cam pos sensor, coil pack, door seals, MAF & IAC, and am now doing my own oil/air filter and Mobil-1 oil changes. Every time a new box from Rock Auto arrives my wife just rolls her eyes. I just remind her about the money saved! And the 185k Ex runs like a top. I would have NEVER even attempted these fixes/mods/maintenance items without this group.
