twice this has happened. my GF's 02 sport (4.0) doesn't want to start. it will crank all day. I floored the gas pedal while cranking and it started right up. cycled the engine a few times afterwards, most of the time it fired right up (foot off pedal now) some times it takes a few revolutions to get going. had the hood up and noticed a distinct whooshing noise around the back of the intake manifold. I checked the hose that looks like it went from intake mani to air box, it was fine. no cracks. It's pretty distinct. dunno if this is normal or not. Not getting any CEL's. Also worth mentioning, her gas gauge works, but it was completely buried and the "check gage" didnt come on. may have been running on fumes? it still had normal torque and acceleration when driving 6 blocks up and down a hill to the gas station. I would greatly appreciate any input you guys have. Thanks!
