why are my Hawk LTS brakes so noisy?

yesterday I decided it was time to install the Hawk brake pads that have been sitting here for about a month. That required a new rotor too. I wanted to to swap both rotors, but there was only a very small groove in the right side, so I left it to save myself $50.
Everything went as expected, but on the test drive the right side was a little noisy. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. it was about as bad as the EBC brakes i ahve on my race car, not bad at all, still very bearable. I went back to the shop to clean up, I was there about an hour. I left to go home and it was REALLY noisy. Like the garbage truck that comes through the neighborhood at 2 am, or the dump truck right nest to you at every light noisy. Completely unacceptable.
I think it's only coming from the right side, there might be some from the left too. It's hard to tell.

I've used hawk pads before on my street vehicles and never had this problem. I chose them because they are very quiet and increase stopping force. Can anyone help my fix it? I don't know what to do aside from buying new pads.

what kind of noise are they making?is it only during breaking or all the time?

The noise is a high pitched squeal like you get with cheap brake pads. It is really severe.
I haven't had a chance to bed them in, just the drive home from the shop. The pads have the noise reduction things on the back. I will do that tomorrow after work and see there that gets me.
I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong. I even used high temp brake slide grease on the pins.
If the bed in doesn't work, I will contact hawk Performance.

last night I bed the pads using the same procedure I always have. 40-50 mph stops to 10 mph, then repeat a few times. the squeal is a little better, but not gone. I called Hawk earlier. They asked a few questions. when he asked me about bed in I told him my procedure, and he thought I might have put too much heat too soon to them. suggested I pull the pads to check for glazing, if so remove it and re bed the pads with 30 mph to 0 stops. then drive them for 1000 miles. I don't know if I can listen to that for a thousand.
I'll pull 'em and see what's up
