I remember seeing an old post about this, but from the rear my X is noticibly lower on the drivers side, I first noticed this at the muffler shop after the X was off the lift and we where looking tho see if the dual tailpipes were straight. Is there a fix for this?? I wanna eventually get shackles and do the TT< but I know thats not gonna fix the drivers side sag, only make it more noticable. Please Help!!

couple of ?'s
how many miles do you have on it?
Are you a large guy (not being mean)
have you taken it off road
and are all your tires inflated the same?

in general...there is always a driver and not always passengers..... and the gas tank is on the same side also

This is normal on Explorers. You can try evening it out by adjusting the torsion bars. I think if you loosen the passenger torsion bar bolt, this will lower that front passenger side a bit, bringing the rear driver side up a bit. I think this is the way to do it.

Its caused by the continous wieght of the gas tank. You could swap leaf springs. There was a post about. Use a search;)

Measure the height difference from an empty tank to a full tank. If your results are like mine, the difference will be about 1/8".

Alec was right as far as what Ford will do to fix it. They will lower the passenger side torsion bar to bring the driver's side rear up.

thanks for the responses. To answer a couple of questions, I am not sure what you consider a big guy, but it's actually my wifes X and we only got it last January, it has 89,000 miles on it, and although I never took it oof-road who knows about the previous owner. I plan on doing the TT twist in the future, so I don't wanna lower the pass. side torsion bar. I guess we can live with it for now, maybe a leaf spring swap is somewhere in the future.
