Why not black lights instead of colored neons?

Bmxboy That was part of the problem I only got one tube and it was broken. Oh well! As long as an entire kit shows up tomorrow I will be Happy! Dead Link Removed

I can no longer say that I have not been pulled over for my lights....Tonight I was pulled over and given only a warning for my blue turn signals and blue grill neons. I told the police that I didn't know that they were illegal, silly coppers

ya, blue turn signals are a ticket waiting to happen in almost every state, even here in GA thats not tolerated for long.

this is getting off topic, but what if you have the corner light (only one that doesn't blink) and the top blinking light blue? (95 explorer) And keep the side blinker orange... I think thats still very legal, isn't it?

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

That is what my dad always said to me. And that is how a lot of police feel. . .

I'm not saying that I wouldn't put stuff like that on my explorer...I'd just be a little careful where I flashed it around at.

Some laws suck...But they are there for some reason, reasons we may not understand or that don't make sense. (Sorry if I sound like a father...In fact, I am one.)

p.s.

Is that thrid light above the rear cargo door neon? The brake light.. It has a high voltage transformer with leads going to the light. It doesn't look like a halogen light... If that's the case, then yes, I have ONE neon tube.. :)

the 3rd brake light isn't exactly neon, but, it is similar, I read on sylvanias site not too long ago about how they did it.. it is a FORM of neon, but its not the same kind of neon that you would put under your car. Its a project sylvania has been working on for a while I beleive, now LEDs are the thing tho.. so they may wind up scrapping that all togther for them.

well, I have tried and tried to find laws on things.. I call the police dept... each time I call I get a different answer, whats more, I'vre never been able to find laws that relate specifically to what I'm looking for, if I can even find local laws at all.. they're certainly not posted in the news paper. I did find some GA laws once online, but they were all legal jargon, its a wonder to me how anyone interprets that garbage

Uhm, I'm just gonna throw in my 2 cents here..

Black light does reveal any >ahem< "unwanted" stains from bodily fluids and certain types of food, no matter how hard you think you cleaned the upholstery....

>cough cough< not that I would have any personal experience with that type of thing :D ...fiance has two black lights in his room

Just make sure you're DAMN careful about food and 'other' things that might get spilled in your truck ;)

BTW, I have 7 neons in my X and I'll be putting pics up soon if anybody cares...Savage Wolf and I cut all the cigarette lighter adapters off them and ran every one to 2 switches on my dash and the fuse box, and none of them had color coded wire, but they all work!

Just thought of something:
Interior blacklights are perfect for the male college student: what better for making all your female friend's bras show up?

looks good, that is the liteglow kit however, I dont really know if the lowglow series is made in blacklight..

btw, if your camera has exposure settings, I find its best to take neon shots with at least 2 seconds exposure in near darkness or very late afternoon, use a tripod, and they should turn out almost as they look in RL. not tryin to say anythin about yer photos, just sayin, neons hard to photograph

keep in mind, the lowglow kit has 1 transformer for all 4 tubes (wired in series) and are rather large heavily insulated wires, just to point out the differences between the lite/low glow areas of the company.

you try setting the shutter speed and taking another pic of your neons yet?
