Why not black lights instead of colored neons?

Off subject...But I came up with a funky idea..


Now, I might not have been the first to think of this, however I've never seen one...But if anyone wants to spend the time and money...then help yourself...

I saw a hearse yesterday down by the mall...Beat up, bad shape...BUT WAIT! They have sliding rails to hold the casket right? Well...What if you bought or built a casket and filled it with subwoofers and amps? Then you could slide the rack out during competition to show off...It's just too perfect. (I guess if you play your music too loud then you could "wake the dead") SORRY! I just had to put that line in.



So, what do you guys think. Good or bad..

When you have your car out for a demo, would you leave stuff like that out in the open? So some jackass can rip your cones, push in the dust cover cut wires, key your car... If that stuff happens, then you need to pay attention to who you have near it.

hydroxy I am still waiting for the kit, Damn Holiday weekend! Remember that this thread was what caused me to order the kit in the first place. I ordered it inbetween my first two posts here. Then the damn three day weekend came and slowed down the shipping process. I am hoping to get it today but we'll see.

Anyways nah, I have never been pulled over for the turn signals, have deffinetely been eyed at by the cops before though. But here in southern cali there are so many damn rice rockets running around the cops usually go after them, and most anyone that gets nabbed by the cops for lights and exhaust and stuff are usually at street races. But of course there are some cops that are just ***holes who will pull you over and give you a fix it ticket, but no biggy! I have found that most cops around here are actually cool about modding cars because they do it themselves, I have even gotten into conversations with them about different illegal mods (even though they say they are illegal they still do them...). Anyways BmxBoy too bad you aint still got the big light on wheels, it would have killed at the shows here!

Well I AM PI$$ED! I just received my package from that should have brought me great joy and it didn't the BlackLight kit arrived today with just one tube that was BROKEN! There wasn't even a transformer!

I emailed the seller: war_path (get-it@swbell.net) to let him know and see what he will do for me. I am very upset and sorry to everyone here that was waiting to see how the underbody kit was going to turn out. Here are a few pics of the broken tube.

omg dude, thats not broken, its destroyed, I've never seen a tube torn up like that.. after you ruin his reputation ebay (well deserved) contact lowglow.. replacement tubes are usually about $30 and transformers about the same.. GL

Black Magic, tough luck, but I hate to say I told you so. If these tubes cannot make it thru the mail without breaking, how long will they last on the underside of a truck? Streetglow is the only way to go!

more than a year.. I have lowglow, I've had proablly 3 tubes broken.. that was dealer error, tubes dont just break driving down the road.

if you know how UPS treats things.. I'm not suprised it broke.

stop ragging on my neon man, there is nothing wrong with lowglow/liteglow, its a decent product

did yours have transformers in the individual tubes? or an external transformer? I've been doing some looking, liteglow/lowglow are the same company, however lowglow of sorts is their "premium" line, having external transformers and being much better bulit than the liteglow equivalent. I have had a lowglow underbody kit for 4 years, 3 transofmers, 3 tubes, all of them caused by errors either by dealers or by me, nothing caused by general product failure. I am not dissing on streetglow by any means, I have streetglow interior neons under my dash and in my amp rack (the minis) and they're very nice products, the blues match exactly and are interchangable. Theres lots of examples of underbody here, some look good, some look bad, as best as I can tell, mine looks like one of the better ones (sorry if thta sounds egotistical, its not like I can see my car from outside going down the road, but sitting still it looks a lot better than many on the road) I see nothing wrong with lowglow at all, a mistake was made, most likley shipping and dealer errors together, I'm sure black magic will be very happy with his kit once he gets everything straightened out.

This was not a product failure. I think I just got a single tube that was broken and boxed up and shipped to me. I didn't even get a transformer! I have sent all the information to the guy and will see what he said.

Actually, it appears that the tubes have built in transformers (hence forth the red and black wires coming out of only one end, rather than just one wire coming out of both ends...)

My suggestion...try hookin up one of the other tubes to like your cig. lighter or ghetto rig it somehow to see if it lights up...cause im 99% sure it will..

Great News! I received a reply back from that company. They are sending me another kit. They invesitgated the shipment and found that I was shipped the wrong thing, No tihs! Well they are going to ship me a complete and working kit NEXT Day. I should have them tomorrow!

That is great customer service. They really steped up to the place!
