wierd noise

well today on my drive home from work i noticed it was making a wierd sound on take off. the first time it was very minimal and quiet and barely noticeable but it did it a couple more times on the way home and sounded to be getting progressively worse. its kind of a grind and a clunk not really sure what it could be. Should i change the diff fluid or tranny fluid? not familiar with trucks so any help would be great thanks.(97 ex)

well that's not much to go on, but things I would check are

1) universal joints
2) differential fluid (check for burned fluid and metal
3) parking brake (thats a long shot)
