I have my '92 with oem 15" wheels/tires. My bro in law has a '02 with oem 16" wheels/tires. Will they fit on my '92? He offered to give them to me since he is getting some aftermarket wheels for his.

Thanks.

They should bolt up.. You might have rubbing issues since they do have a positive offset.. Hey they are free how hard is it to bolt up a front and rear and see if they work?

I would agree normally, but my bro in law lives in Cali, me in Az. It would suck to have them shipped here and then have them not fit.

well I know for a fact on my 02 that they do have a good positive offset I can't tell you exactly what the offset is but it does remind me of the rims that are on my ranger.. In order to run them I had to get a set of adapters so that they would fit flush..

I can't be 100% sure but I bet you would need to get some sort of adapter in order to run them and for them to fit correctly.

I swore the offset was +35 on 3rd generations? I could be wrong...

Tear drop OEM's wouldn't fit on my 92' XLT. I'm not sure about newer OEM rims. I'm glad they didn't though. I bought myself a way nicer set of rims :)

if i was you, i would pay for the shipping, hopefully they would fit, and if not you could sell them on ebay, and the buyer pays for the shipping.

do you have a 4WD X? if thats the case, they may not fit over the hubs.

i beleive i sent you a message back about this....

anyway for you other doubters, it worked on mine.......

don't know if mine happens to be different than the other '91s out there for some reason, but the pic is 1,000 words....especially over the net

PS: yes it is a 4x4

then theres your answer :)

I heard those have +44 offset. I can't tell from the picture. Are they all the way in (tucked in)?

your profile says you have a 91 eddie, but in your pic you have non-tinted windows. i didnt know EBs came w/o tinted windows?

oh geeze.....

if you look closely on the door you can see the "eddie baurer" tag still on it from when i pulled the pinstripe off. The seats also have eddie baurer embrodiered on them and i bought it used under the assumption it was an eddie baurer.

I bought it from a guy that got it from his dad (original owner) a few years ago. I suppose it is possible that he went thru a bunch of effort to make it into an eddie baurer but i highly doubt it.

yeah they do sit a little more in than the stock ones did.

in this pic you can see how much more the new wheels sit in than the old ones in the second pic.

I didn't have any rubbing issuse and i haven't felt the ride to be any more unstable. You could use cheap spacers to move it back out, but i would rather have it sit in than become another one of the stories on here about snapping wheel studs and whatever else terrible can happen from using them. I am not terribly concerned with the offset difference given how many other members have run non-stock wheel setups. I can tell that they sit in but i can see alot of things on my car that other people (read..."non-explorerforum.com members") can't

i had explained all this to adamk145 in an email a week or 2 ago, but i guess he wanted more input which is exactly the same thing i would have done. Just thought since it was now in a post i would throw in my expereince, in the event there are future searches on the subject

there are some more pics on the first few pages of my cardomain site
