Will 4.10s from an 00 ranger fit my 91ex?

I've searched all that I could, but still need more info. BTW, my ex has 3.55s, open diff, the ranger has a L/S trac loc.

I'm not a Ford expert yet but typically the gears from a trash-lok won't fit an open carrier. There is likely an issue with the ratios and carrier too.

All 8.8 ring and pinion gears are interchangable.....
His front carrier is completely different from yours if we are talking 4x4.

Yup, no carrier breaks or anything. Just don't try to put the rangers front gears in -- won't work

Also, make sure the Ranger axle is an 8.8, not a 7.5.
