Hey guys,

Right now I have 32x11.50x15 BFG AT's on stock 15x7 rims. I'd really like to get these tires to stick out from the body a couple more inches if at all possible. I was planning on getting 15x8 rims, but after thinking about it...would a 15x10 inch rim be alright on the tires that I have? I know they work fine on a 12.50 inch wide tire, but I wasn't sure about the 11.50. I did need to do a little cutting after the I got the tires and with a 10 inch rim I'm sure I'll have to cut somemore, but I do plan on adding coil spacers and shackles before I get the rims for a little more clearance. Thanks.

a lot of guys on here prefere 8" wheels even w/ 12.5" tires, but i do not. the 10" will not only reduce your amount of rubbing, but will look a lot better too. you will elliminate the "hour glass" look that you get form using under sized wheels. i think your making a good choice. i hope you like what you get! -russel

oh yeah, a 10" wheel will work fine w/ an 11.5" tire. sorry

yes it will fit fine but the hourglass shape also has a purpose....with the wider wheel you will be more likely to blow a bead if airred down than with the same tire on a narrower wheel.....TRUST ME I USED TO BE A TIRE GUY

that is true and believe that is a precaution that should be addressed, but w/ a 3 ply bfg, you better be carfull of how much you air down to start w/. most of the time the only time this is usually needed is w/ tires such as larger TSL's and the like. 38's, 40's etc. then your getting into 8 ply territory and it is not a problem to run on 4 psi, but w/ 32 A/T's, i don't think we're taking about climbing everest. it's pretty much just a matter of personal preference. -russel

do u ever plan on going to a 12 1/2 because if u do definatly go with a 10 wide rim if u go with a 8 wide rim and then go to a 33 12 expect unusuall tire wear and extra stress on the tires .u guys talk about the 8 for off road use but when aired down especially with a radial the extra stress of the tire having to bow causes it to be weaker on the sidewall i went through two 35's radail bfg's on one trip in my jeep with a 15x8. the only true advantage of an 8 inch wide rim is the rim is protected more by the tire but leaves the tire vunerable
btw i was also a tire guy
