Will a Ranger dash cluster work in an Explorer?

I have a few gauges not working on my 96 Explorer. friend has a 98 Ranger he wrecked and said I could have the cluster. Will the Ranger cluster work? The gauge layout looks different.

It will help to know the year of your truck and your friends truck and if his has a tach or not.

Ranger is a 98 with tach. both vehicles have 4.0L engines.
