some exhaust tips do, others are pure looks.
personally, i dont like the sound they create (reminds me of a dirtbike in a tunnel). the chrome ones that dont change the sound are nice.

No, they don't change the sound.

Depends. If you get a regular one like me, the exhaust tone will be changed slightly, but you have to get down next to it to notice. Dont wanna do that too much though :) I'll get you a link whenever I get home. Its like a regular tip, except it turns down at the end, so the exhaust is directed at the ground. The Borla intercooled tips might change it a bit more, but for the price of them, you'd be better off to just buy a new muffler and have change. Even if a tip dont change the exhaust note, they sure look good :)

I recently got a cheap chrome tip from pepboys for $3.50 that just screws on. I got it because we had to sawzall my tailpipe short so it wouldn't get crushed in Moab. Thus, my exhaust was exiting before the bumper, which I didn't like. Anyway, because of where the exhaust now exits (under the bumper, not before it), the sound is mellower in the cab and a bit louder outside. It sounds good though.

my tips did change the sound a little. they quieted it down a little but they then sounded more like a boat. i have 4" tips which i got when i was exhaust happy. i would only go with 3" now and i would have both exit on the passenger side. there are a lot of bends to get that second pipe to the drivers side. actually i kind of like the tips the harley f-150 has. they are oval shaped and connected on the passenger rear.

first off you dont drive a honda dont put just a tip on it.

second no it wont change the sound.

resonated tips will change the sound drastically

regular tips will alter the sound a little...probably not enough to notice

Heres the link for a pic of my tip: Dead Link Removed
